Justin Hewlett

Governor's Appointee

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Justin Hewlett to the NTTA Board of Directors by in November 2025.

Hewlett graduated from Texas A&M University in 1981 with a BBA in Accounting. He worked in the banking industry until 1987, when he formed his own company to provide data processing services to community banks. In 1998, Hewlett sold the company to Jack Henry & Associates and then worked for the firm for five years.

In 2005, he formed Hewlett Office Systems LLC to provide technology services to small businesses. The company celebrates 20 years in business this year.

Justin has been married to Sydney for 47 years. They have four children and eight grandchildren. Sydney is a 1997 graduate of Baylor Law and currently serves as the District Judge for the 18th District of Texas.

Justin’s public service includes a term as the mayor of Cleburne and two terms on the Cleburne School Board.  Previous civic service includes a past presidency of the United Way of Johnson County, current board memberships with the Cleburne Economic Development Foundation the Cleburne Education Foundation, and the Chisholm Trail 100 Club. He currently serves as board president of the Marti Foundation.

Justin and Sydney attend Granbury Street Church of Christ in Cleburne, where Justin serves as a deacon since 1984.

Justin enjoys walking his Border Collie, Hank, and hiking and backpacking with his wife, including several sections of the Appalachian Trail.
