Dena StrohDenah Stroh
General Counsel

Ms. Stroh has more than fifteen years of legal experience. She served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Murchison Oil and Gas, Inc. for three years and was responsible for all legal issues affecting the company including contracts, regulatory, land, structuring, corporate governance, human resources, compliance, insurance, and other matters. Prior to joining Murchison Oil and Gas, Inc., Ms. Stroh was a partner at Gruber Hurst Johansen Hail Shank, LLP, where she handled a wide range of commercial litigation matters and appeals. Ms. Stroh also worked at Carrington, Coleman, Sloman, & Blumenthal, LLP, where she became a partner and handled complex civil litigation in both state and federal court.

Ms. Stroh graduated from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, cum laude, in 1999. A National Merit Scholar, she received a B.A. in Psychology from Yale University in 1996. She graduated as Valedictorian of D.I.S.D.'s Talented and Gifted Magnet High School in 1992. Ms. Stroh has held multiple office and chair positions with various bar associations including Co-Chair of the Women's Advocacy Awards Committee of Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, Chair of Attorneys Serving the Community from 2012 to 2014, and President of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers in 2009 and Chair of its Foundation Fellows in 2012. She also serves as a director on the boards of Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, Dallas Children’s Theater, and Dallas Women Lawyers Association. A member of the Leadership Dallas Class of 2011, Ms. Stroh was selected as one of the "40 Under 40" by the Dallas Business Journal in 2013 and received the 2014 D CEO Magazine & ACC Corporate Counsel Award for Outstanding Community Service. 

 

Angela HoughAngela Hough
Assistant General Counsel

As the Assistant General Counsel of NTTA, Angela Hough provides legal advice and support to the organization on a range of legal issues, including review and negotiation of contracts, real property questions, employment concerns, information technology and data security needs, billing and collections matters, and procurements for all business units. She also supports the General Counsel in reviewing NTTA policies and procedures. 

Ms. Hough has been a practicing attorney in the DFW area for nearly a decade. Prior to joining NTTA, she served as Senior Corporate Counsel of Alon USA Energy, Inc., handling a variety of legal matters for three refineries, multiple asphalt terminals, and over 300 convenience store properties. Previously, Ms. Hough was an attorney at Carrington, Coleman, Sloman, & Blumenthal, LLP, concentrating on real estate, development, energy, and corporate transactions and disputes and at Thompson & Knight, LLP, where she worked on real property and financing transactions, domestic and international energy matters, and bankruptcy issues.  

Ms. Hough graduated from Texas Tech School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2007. She also earned a Master of Arts in Romance Languages in 2003, a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language and Area Studies in 2000, and a Bachelor of Arts in French also in 2000. Throughout her legal career, she has served as Lead Chair of multiple Dallas Bar Association committees directed at community involvement and strengthening the legal profession (LegalLine, Ethics, and Law in the Schools and Community), as well as taking on various pro bono legal projects.
