Community Partners
The NTTA is involved in a variety of partnerships allowing us to gain further knowledge and educate the public about important community issues. To better serve and reach all of North Texas, we are actively engaged in partnerships with the following community organizations:

Mothers Against Drunk Driving
The NTTA is a sponsor of the Mothers Against Drunk Driving North Texas “Tie One On For Safety” campaign and has a participated in press events with MADD. MADD created Tie One On For Safety, originally named the Project Red Ribbon campaign, in 1986 to help heighten public awareness about drinking and driving during the holiday season. It was designed to encourage the public to take action against drunk driving by tying a red MADD ribbon to their vehicle's antenna or side mirror. The NTTA maintains a priority focus on driving safety and is grateful that organizations like MADD are so committed to stopping drunk driving. The NTTA is proud to have sponsored the Tie One on for Safety campaign and looks forward to expanding its relationship with MADD. NTTA staff have also volunteered their participation in Walk Like MADD, a fundraising effort to support victim services offered my MADD.

North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council
With a commitment to encourage drivers to not only stay focused on the road, but also do their part in helping reduce and prevent the number of texting related accidents, the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council, along with the NTTA and other supporters, launched a campaign in October 2010 to encourage people to text a promise to their friends, family and loved ones: “i Promise not 2 txt & drive." The NTTA is pleased to have teamed up with NCTTRAC in support of their initiative to help raise safety awareness with teen, corporate and commercial drivers.

The NTTA is dedicated to joining the NTCAC in its commitment to advancing green initiatives in the DFW Metroplex.
