Veterans Tolls

Volvo of Dallas to Pay Tolls for Legion of Valor Honorees

Volvo of Dallas partners with NTTA to sponsor tolls for Legion of Valor recipients.  The Legion of Valor is awarded to individuals who have delivered the highest level of service to the United States and includes recipients of the military’s highest honors, including the Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Navy Cross and the Air Force Cross.

Due the generosity and commitment of Volvo of Dallas, the program allows Legion of Valor recipients to receive free passage on all NTTA roads, including the Dallas North Tollway, President George Bush Turnpike, Sam Rayburn Tollway, Lewisville Lake Toll Bridge, Addison Airport Tunnel, Mountain Creek Lake Bridge and Chisholm Trail Parkway, as well as all tollways throughout Texas.

“On behalf of the entire staff at Volvo of Dallas, I would like to extend my gratitude to the men and women of our country who defend our independence every day,” said Volvo of Dallas General Manager Pedro Palenzuela. “I am honored to be able to give back to those who’ve given up so much to fight for our freedom.”

NTTA appreciates Legion of Valor recipients’ service to our country and all those who have served this country in the armed forces.  With the assistance of Volvo of Dallas, NTTA can offer this program in full compliance with NTTA’s bond agreements, which fund construction of all NTTA roads.

Does the NTTA offer discounted toll rates for veterans?
NTTA greatly appreciates the service of the millions of honorable men and women who have served our country in the armed forces, and we are grateful for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made. The 81st Texas Legislature passed HB 3139, which allows for the creation of a veterans toll discount program by a local toll authority; however, no funds were appropriated for such a program. There currently is no funding source available to implement the program on NTTA roads.
