About the Business Diversity Department
The NTTA's Business Diversity Department was created to give Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) and Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) an equal opportunity to participate in NTTA procurements. For ease of definition, all Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs), Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), and Woman-owned Business Enterprises (WBEs) are also Small Business Enterprises (SBEs). *So, if you are certified as a HUB, MBE or WBE, then you also qualify under the SBE category.
Business Diversity Department's Purpose
The NTTA's Business Diversity Department embraces the following principal purposes:
- Participation in outreach and support programs
- Identification of certified DBEs and SBEs* as potential NTTA vendors
- Encouraging firms that qualify but are not certified as DBEs and/or SBEs* to obtain certification
- Distribution of information about opportunities to do business with the NTTA
- Identification of possible barriers to participation in the DBE and/or SBEs* programs and efforts to reduce or eliminate barriers
- Establishing program goals for encouraging DBE and/or SBEs* participation in NTTA procurements
- Verification of vendor compliance with the NTTA Business Diversity Policy
