In an effort to encourage business with the NTTA and to make the bidding process easier, the NTTA offers a web-based electronic bidding process for its construction, capital improvement, and reserve maintenance projects. This process includes:
- Access to business opportunities
- The ability to download plans and specifications, and
- An opportunity to prepare and submit bids electronically.
Until further notice, the NTTA will continue to accept paper bids.
In early 2004, the NTTA released its electronic bidding solution on several small projects. The first substantial construction project (Dallas North Tollway Phase 3) utilizing electronic bidding occurred in October 2004. Electronic bidding is now offered, as an option, on our construction, capital improvement and roadway maintenance projects. To assist our contractors in researching and learning about our electronic bidding software, the NTTA offers training classes tailored to a contractor's specific needs as it relates to our software. If you are interested in attending a training class, please contact our Training Coordinator at 214-461-2008.
Effective October 1, 2004, vendors must register online in order to do business with the NTTA.
The NTTA plans to implement electronic bidding for goods, services, professional services and consulting services in the near future.
