Anthony L. Coleman
Business Diversity Director
Anthony Coleman, the NTTA’s business diversity director, is responsible for providing leadership in defining the objectives and strategies for the Authority’s Business Diversity Department, including managing the program and developing the policy. Coleman plans, directs, organizes and coordinates the administration of the NTTA’s programs designed to increase inclusion of all business enterprises. He interacts with outside organizations and associations to disseminate information pertaining to contracting opportunities. Coleman oversees contract compliance, directs major outreach efforts, and manages contract compliance and the budget process.
Coleman is an innovative manager with more than 27 years of experience in progressive governmental program development and management. Skilled in relationship and team building for both the public and private sectors, he recently developed and implemented a new business diversity program for the City of Irving, which included the revision of a Minority/Woman Owned Business Enterprise Guide and the development of a Minority/Woman Owned Business Advisory Committee. Coleman worked for more than 26 years at the City of Dallas serving as the manager of business development services. He was responsible for managing the ResouceLink Team and the recruitment of new vendors to participate in the city’s bid solicitation process. Coleman also worked as an economic development manager. He oversaw the implementation of five Business Assistance Centers and the South Dallas/Fair Park Trust Fund.
Coleman earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and his master’s degree from Abilene Christian University. He is a board member of the North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency. He also is a member of the Hispanic Contractors Association of Dallas-Fort Worth as well as a Loan Committee Member of the Dallas Business Finance Corp., Southern Dallas Development Corp.
