A public hearing was held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009. View the Notice of Public Hearing for complete details.
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to inform and solicit comments from the public on the schematics for proposed project alternatives and the Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) and Draft Section 4(f) Evaluation for the proposed tolled facility. The project has the potential to impact various social, economic and environmental elements covered in the SDEIS, which was prepared to provide new or additional information and data analysis performed since the publication of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) in February 2005.

TRINITY PARKWAY COMMENT PERIOD EXTENDED TO JUNE 30, 2009
On May 5, 2009, a Public Hearing was held for the Trinity Parkway Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS). At the hearing and following the hearing some individuals requested an extension to the comment period for the subject document. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has given further consideration to these requests for an extension of the comment period and we wish to inform interested parties that the comment period has now been extended to June 30, 2009. The FHWA identified those individuals that requested the time extension, have formally notified them of the time extension and we are posting this message to let others know of the extension.
Written comments may be submitted via mail to: NTTA, Attn: Corridor Manager, Re: Trinity Parkway Project, P.O. Box 260729, Plano, TX, 75026. Written comments also will be accepted by e-mail at trinityparkway@ntta.org. All comments must be received or postmarked on or before Tuesday, June 30, 2009, to be included in the public hearing record.

The Trinity Parkway EIS team has made numerous presentations to outside organizations, as well as with our partner agencies and elected officials. If your organization is interested in a presentation from the Trinity Parkway EIS team, please e-mail your request to trinityparkway@ntta.org well in advance of your meeting time.
Interagency Executive Team
Monthly Trinity River Interagency Executive Team meetings have provided continuing agency involvement. These meetings, hosted by the City of Dallas, started on June 29, 1999 and have occurred on a monthly basis to date. The Trinity River Interagency Executive Team includes staff from the following organizations: City of Dallas Trinity River Corridor Project Office, USACE, TCEQ, EPA, TxDOT, NCTCOG, Dallas County and NTTA.
