PRINT Travel Time Estimate Program
The NTTA leverages the extensive use of TollTags to calculate travel times along our tollways. Travel times are then posted on large overhead Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and the Traffic section of our website.
The Authority recognized a need for its patrons to be notified of roadway conditions in a timely and accurate manner. The application uses a sample of TollTag reads to measure the travel times between various points along our roadways. In addition to posting travel times on our DMSs and this website, the NTTA is currently developing a process to proactively "push" traffic information to interested TollTag account holders wishing to receive this information on their cell phones, computers or other wireless devices.
Dynamic Message Signs are already in place at Jupiter, Independence, Marsh and Josey on the PGBT and Frankford and Windhaven on the DNT. Five more signs will be installed throughout the summer.
