The Sam Rayburn Tollway in Collin, Dallas and Denton Counties
The Sam Rayburn Tollway, formerly known as State Highway 121, will stretch approximately 26 miles through Collin, Dallas and Denton counties upon its completion in January 2012. The toll road starts at Business 121 in Coppell/Lewisville and runs northeasterly to just east of U.S. 75 in McKinney/Fairview. The Sam Rayburn Tollway features all-electronic toll collection.

In addition to developing and operating the Sam Rayburn Tollway, the NTTA provided a payment of $3.2 billion at financial close to TxDOT; the Regional Transportation Council (RTC) will decide how those funds should be used for additional road projects throughout North Texas.
