The Sam Rayburn Tollway in Collin, Dallas and Denton Counties

The Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT), formerly known as State Highway 121, extends approximately 26 miles through Collin, Dallas and Denton counties. The last section, improvements at the SRT/Dallas North Tollway interchange, was fully open to traffic as of Nov. 14, 2011. The toll road starts at Business 121 in Coppell/Lewisville and extends northeasterly to just east of U.S. 75 (Central Expressway in McKinney/Fairview. The Sam Rayburn Tollway features all-electronic toll collection. A cash option is not available.

In addition to developing and operating the Sam Rayburn Tollway, the NTTA provided a payment of $3.2 billion at financial close to TxDOT; the Regional Transportation Council (RTC) will decide how those funds should be used for additional road projects throughout North Texas.
