The Sam Rayburn Tollway (formerly the 121 Tollway) in Collin, Dallas and Denton Counties



The Sam Rayburn Tollway, formerly known as State Highway (SH) 121, will stretch approximately 26 miles through Collin, Dallas and Denton counties upon its completion in January 2012. The toll road starts at Business 121 in Coppell/Lewisville and runs northeasterly to just east of U.S. 75 in McKinney/Fairview. The Sam Rayburn Tollway features all-electronic toll collection. Drivers with TollTags will have their tolls deducted from their account. Those without TollTags will receive a ZipCash invoice by mail at a higher toll rate.

The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) conducted a public meeting on June 16, 2008, to discuss design enhancements the Authority had proposed for the Sam Rayburn Tollway(121 Tollway)/ U.S. 75 interchange. More information...

MORE ABOUT THE SAM RAYBURN TOLLWAY (121 TOLLWAY) PROJECT:
In addition to developing and operating the Sam Rayburn Tollway (121 Tollway), the NTTA provided a payment of $3.2 billion at financial close to TxDOT; the Regional Transportation Council (RTC) will decide how those funds should be used for additional road projects throughout North Texas.
